🔗 Create a New Connection
To get started, expand the Plaid configuration on the
You will see a
Connect to Plaid button, clicking this will start the Plaid setup process to link your account.
🔎 Find Your Bank
Using the Plaid dialog, find the bank you'd like to connect to. As accountants know banking integrations can be limited! If you don't see your bank here, it is because it not currently supported by Plaid.
Our upcoming Zapier integration will allow the alternative of loading bank balances into FinDaily via Zapier. This would still need to be a manual process, but you could have an admin pull the balance and enter it into a form for example, and Zapier would load the data into the template.
🤫 Provide Your Credentials
Upon selecting your bank, enter your username and password. Note FinDaily never receives your bank username or password. This information is sent directly to Plaid to ensure your credentials are kept safe.
Certain banks require additional verification steps in order to set up a connection. Once your account is confirmed, you'll see a success screen where you can click "Continue".
🔌 Toggle to Sync Bank Balances
The final step is selecting the data you want to sync with FinDaily. Currently only bank balances are supported.
Open the Plaid configuration once more and toggle on
Bank Balances to sync the current balance for all connected accounts each time an email is sent.
Update, this will verify your configurations and setup the variables to be available in the Template Editor.
